BP Oil Spill Are the American people already becoming num and bored with this?

Does it seem that most Americans already find the current Gulf Oil Crisis boring? Do they just not want to see or hear about it?
I hope I am wrong but...

We need to open our eyes and minds!!!

    I agree with the judge...doesn't make sense to shut down all the rigs just because one of them had a problem.

    I see your point but, how many having problems would it take? I think the point is not that one had a problem but our inability to deal with one having a problem. We are now two months into the current problem and oil is still spewing forth. The economic impact of the spill may vastly overshadow any impact a moratorium would have, not to mention the long term environmental impact.
